Crown Career Pathways

CIC and the Crown sector have developed an Indigenous internship program: Crown Career Pathways (CCP).

CCP provides a mechanism to bridge Indigenous graduates from eligible post-secondary institutes into employment with the Crown sector, provincial government or the private sector in Saskatchewan.

This initiative was developed in consideration of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action – specifically #92, which calls on the public sector to increase employment opportunities for Indigenous peoples.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Self-declared Indigenous graduates, within two years following graduation, will be eligible for the program. The interns are required to have graduated from post-secondary institutes in Saskatchewan as recognized by the Government of Saskatchewan and include:

  • University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada
  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic
  • Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research
  • Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies
  • Regional Colleges:Carlton Trail College, Cumberland College, Great Plains College, Lakeland College, Northlands College, North West College, Parkland College, Southeast College
